Who do I see for water service?

The Village operates its own municipal water and sanitary sewer systems. The Utility Billing Office is located at Albany Village Hall, 5153 Alton Street. Office hours: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (8:00 a.m.-noon on Fridays).

New Customers: ALL new customers must submit a completed application with a security deposit before service is turned on. For more information visit Albany Village Hall or the Water Department website today

When does Village Council meet?

Village Council: Meets on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month, 6:30 p.m., at Albany Village Hall, 5153 Alton Street.

Does Albany have a post office?

U.S. Post Office: The post office is located at 5303 Washington Road, (740) 669-5001

Can I bank in Albany?

Banking: The Albany branch of the Hocking Valley Bank is located at 5322 Washington Road. (740) 698-4444.

Do I have to use a certain company for garbage collection?

Garbage Service: The Village of Albany does not regulate which trash hauler you choose to use. You can find a list of companies above. Still, regular service is required for all residents and businesses. Empty trash cans must be removed from curbside by midnight of the day of pickup.

Is there a sign-up sheet to reserve the Gazebo?

Gazebo: The community gazebo at the Village Park may be used for your party or event on a first-come-first-served basis.

Does the Village pickup brush and limbs?

Brush: Brush pickup is usually provided twice per year in the spring and fall. Specific dates will be posted online and on our Facebook page. More details can be found here
