General Guidelines
- Brush piles cannot be larger than 4 ft. by 4 ft. by 4 ft. tall.
- We cannot accept stumps, roots or limbs over 6 inches in diameter or longer than 4 feet.
- We DO NOT collect entire trees or bushes however small branches are ok.
- Piles should NOT include vines, thorns, roots, honeysuckle, grass, foreign materials such as metal, lumber, nails, wire, string, rope, or staples.
- Brush must be piled on the tree-lawn loosely and in a neat and orderly way with all cut ends pointing in the same direction so that branches do not become entangled.
- DO NOT place your brush pile near poles, mailboxes, guywires, etc.
- Brush MAY NOT be brought to your property from other properties.

A highly used service in the Village is brush removal provided by the Public Works Department for our residents. The intent of our Brush Pick-up service is to collect reasonably sized brush piles using established guidelines.
Brush piles consist of small limbs and twigs.
BRUSH PICK-UP usually occurs twice a year in the spring and fall.
Specific dates will be announced on our Facebook page.

Additional Information
- Remember that any contractors or workers you hire (professional tree trimmers, landscapers, builders, etc.) are required to remove from your property any tree limbs, trunks, logs, etc. that they generate. They are NOT allowed to place this material at the curb.
- Brush produced as a result of lot or land clearing activities will not be collected by the Village.
- Items we cannot ccollect: Dimensional Lumber, Hedge Clippings, Weeds, Cornstalks, Anything with excessive dirt, Bundles wrapped in twine or wire, Stumps / Roots.
- Please be sure to stack brush in an area free of obstructions and where it is easily accessible by the Public Works crew. It is advisable to keep brush stacked either on or near your driveway.
- Piles may not be picked up if they are too difficult to remove or are not placed properly.
- Materials in storage containers, rocks, bricks, pipes, wire, fencing material (split rail, wood posts), lumber, grass, leaves, small sticks (smaller than a broomstick) twigs etc., will not be taken.
