Board Meetings
Organizational Meetings are held in January each year. Regular & Special Meetings are held as needed.
Members serve without compensation for a term of three years and help ensure accountability and transparency in the administration of the CRA program.

Albany CRA Housing Council
The Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) program is an economic development tool administered by local governments that provides tax exemptions for residential and commercial development projects renovating existing structures or constructing new buildings.
About the Housing Council
The CRA Housing Council reviews the tax exemption application and determines if the project is eligible.
The Housing Council is responsible for conducting an annual inspection of properties within the Village of Albany’s Community Reinvestment Area that have been granted a tax exemption under Section 3735.67 of the Ohio Revised Code.
The Council also serves as the hearing body for appeals under Section 3735.70 of the Ohio Revised Code. (See link below)
Seven-member Appointment Process
- Two members are appointed by the Mayor.
- Two members are appointed by Village Council.
- One member is appointed by the Albany Planning Commission.
- Two additional members are appointed by the foregoing members of the CRA Housing Council.
