Albany Village Park
Located behind Hocking Valley Bank, the Albany Village Park is centered in the community, making it easily accessible to all residents. It contains equipment for children of all ages, musical instruments to encourage creative play and green space perfect for picnics, games, or for those who want to relax and enjoy the outdoors. In the park is a community gazebo—perfect for birthday parties or outdoor meetings—that covers two picnic tables and three benches and sits adjacent to a public grill. Lastly, during Summer and Autumn, enjoy beautiful native plants and flowers maintained by local volunteers.
The Park has served as the foundation for a vision of future recreational prospects for the Village. Goals include: expanding recreational opportunities for teenagers and adults; utilizing other “green spaces” in creative ways that support residents, homeowners and local businesses; and exploring the potential that is offered to the Village by being in close proximity to Lake Snowden. Stay tuned for upcoming community events hosted at The Albany Village Park!
The Park is maintained by the Public Works Department with some financial assistance from donations and grants for designated improvements.
