Fall Festival Proclamation
The annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival is a fun-filled, educational community event celebrating one of America’s largest native tree fruits, the pawpaw (Asimina triloba). This all-weekend event highlights the rich history and future possibilities of the pawpaw through delectable food and beverages, and a full line-up of presentations and activities that cover pawpaw growing, cooking, genetics, medical use and other topics related to sustainability. Special events at the festival include competitions for the best and biggest pawpaw, a pawpaw cook-off, a best pawpaw-related work of art and the ever-popular pawpaw-eating contest.
For over 130 years the Albany Independent Fair has offered the local community an opportunity to showcase local arts & crafts, youth leadership, agricultural activities as well as local entertainment and motor events.
We’re excited to announce the Albany Fall Festival happens each October on the third Saturday of the month — a FREE, family-friendly community event full of fun, food, and festivities! But we can’t do it without YOU! This festival brings our community together and creates lasting memories, but we rely on the generosity of our supporters to make it happen.
Christmas in the Village is an annual Christmas event put on by Albany Festivals Inc. Come join us for fun for the whole family!
